“The EP is a love letter to the love of my life. The songs have this warm feeling of summer which is my favorite season. I want you to feel warm and light all year round, even if you listen to it on the coldest day. The title of the EP signifies how sunny days are my favorite days, but every day I’m with my love, they are too! – Akemi Fox explained

The long-awaited sophomore project, out now via NQ Records, opens with a seductive track, “So Fine.” The laid-back song sets the mood for the EP, as romantic synth chords and summery guitar riffs pair gracefully with Akemi’s wispy vocals as she sings, “I’ve got a taste for you. .”

Heating things up next is the latest single, “I Want It,” with its Afrobeats-tinged production and a catchy July 7 guest verse. Stabilizing the beat with “Sun,” this third track accentuates the hazy warmth of the project, while the otherworldly “movie” slows things down with heightened sensuality. The project comes full circle with “See You Soon,” a bouncy R&B-inspired song weaving layered harmonies with shimmering jazz notes in the form of brass and percussion.

Akemi Fox has had a winning streak in recent years. Her debut EP, ‘Colour You In’, firmly cemented her place on the UK scene. Since then, Akemi has delivered a string of well-received singles. Additionally, she is featured on ‘Balance’, the second album by Manchester hip-hop/soul duo Children Of Zeus. This success led Akemi to support Children Of Zeus on its shows in October 2021 and March this year. Going forward, Akemi will support Kojey Radical at the Royal Albert Hall.
