An Air Force employee ends his life sleeping on the Margao railway line
During the search, Konkan Railway Police find a mobile phone and a suicide note written in Malayalam
MARGAO: A 34-year-old Air Force employee allegedly committed suicide while sleeping on the Margao railway line in the early hours of Sunday.
According to Konkan Railway Police, when the train stopped at Margao’s number two platform at 4:11 a.m., he got off, slept on the tracks, and was crushed to death by the train.
Police found the deceased lying in a pool of blood. During the search, police found his mobile phone and a suicide note written in Malayalam. The police said they took the help of a person knowledgeable in Malayalam and in the suicide note it was mentioned that the deceased committed suicide due to a financial problem.
Police said the deceased had taken out a loan. The police recorded the statements of some Air Force personnel.
According to Konkan Railway Police, the deceased, originally from Kerala, had traveled to Delhi for work. He traveled on the Nizamuddin Trivandrum Express.
The police led the panchanama. The body was kept at South Goa District Hospital in Margao. The autopsy report is awaited.
Police said his family members had arrived in Margao. Further investigation is underway.
We learn that he was assigned to J&K but that he had not taken up his post.
