Mail merge

Das urges not to merge Jharsuguda RMS

The lifeline of Jharsuguda depends on the smooth functioning of the railway as more than 50% of the people depend on the area for their daily needs and communications.

In addition to passenger services, Railway Mail Service (RMS) in Jharsuguda is of great importance for proper and timely dispatch and receipt of couriers. But lately it is understood that the existing RMS is going to be merged with the National Sorting Hub (NSH), Sambalpur.

This will create a dislocation of postal delivery services across the postal region, apprehending many people here.

To overcome the problem, Health Minister and local MP Naba Kisore Das recently wrote to Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw to give personal attention to the opening of a new Intra-Circle Center (ICH) or National Service of sorting center in Jharsuguda without merging the RMS, Jharsuguda with Sambalpur for the greater benefit of the people of Jharsuguda Assembly constituency.

The letter further stated that Jharsuguda, one of the oldest railway links, falls under three railway divisions namely South Eastern Railways, Central Eastern Railways and Central Eastern Railways. East Coast. Das asked the Minister of Railways to look into the real problems of the people of Jharsuguda and take appropriate action accordingly.
