The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted 101 packages of cocaine concealed in children’s quilts at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

He noted that the illicit drug was smuggled into the country by a 52-year-old Brazilian returnee, Mr. Akudirinwa Hilary Uchenna, from Oru East Local Government Area in Imo State.

Mr. Uchenna was arrested in the D-Arrival hall of Lagos airport on Saturday on his return from Sao Paulo, Brazil via Doha on board a Qatar Airline flight, while the 101 packages of the Class A drugs d gross weight of 13.2 kilograms was recovered. of his only recording bag.

On the same day in Lagos, NDLEA officers seized 746.25 kilograms of cannabis in an early morning raid in the infamous Akala area of ​​Mushin in the state.

Similarly, NDLEA officers seized large skunk pellets concealed in detergent containers at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu.

While reacting to the numerous seizures and arrests, NDLEA Chairman/CEO Mr. Mohamed Buba Marwa commended the officers and men of MMIA, AIIA, Edo, Zamfara, Akwa Ibom, of Lagos and of Ondo, the commandments of the agency for their efforts.
