How to Find and Edit Contacts on the Mail App

Mail, formerly Windows Mail, is the popular email client from Microsoft that comes installed by default on your Windows. Although not as popular as other email services like Outlook, Gmail, etc., the app can hold its own despite its minimalistic design.

In fact, one of the testimonials of the Mail app, and part of the reason we suggested installing it on your PC, is how simple and easy it is to edit your contacts on it. In this article, we will dive into step-by-step methods to find and edit your Mail contacts on your PC. So let’s get started.

How to Find and Edit Contacts on the Mail App

Naturally, before you can edit a contact, you’ll need to find or search for it. On Windows Mail, you can retrieve any contact via the Switch to people option, located in the far left column.

So, to get started, click on the Switch to people option (it has an icon that vaguely represents a person). As soon as you do this, a dialog box titled People will appear on your screen.

From this dialog, you can not only add new emails to your account, but also edit them and make changes on the spot. For example, a new dialog box will open after you click People. Click on Yes go forward.

Then click on the plug sign to start adding new contacts. In the new dialog, you can then drop all the latest details into your Gmail account: a phone number, name, email address, etc.

When you’re done, click to safeguard.
