iOS 15.6 RC Version Now Available With Live Sports TV App Feature

Apple is releasing the RC version of iOS 15.6 today to developers and public beta testers. A week after releasing the fifth beta version of this operating system, the company is almost ready to release it to all users. Here’s what’s new in this update.

After long weeks of testing without any information about this update, Apple has now announced what changes with iOS 15.6:

  • The TV app adds the ability to restart a live sports game already in progress and pause, rewind or fast forward;
  • Fixes an issue where Settings may continue to show that device storage is full even though it is available;
  • Addresses an issue that may cause braille devices to become slow or unresponsive when navigating through text in Mail;
  • Fixes an issue in Safari where a tab may jump back to a previous page.

In addition to that, 9to5Mac recently reported a bug in Apple Books on iOS 15.5 that Apple is also fixing with iOS 15.6.

Today’s version is 19G69. Apple is also releasing RC versions of macOS 12.5, iPadOS 15.6, watchOS 8.7, and tvOS 15.6.

While Apple started previewing iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16 in June, people are focusing on these new operating systems, which are expected to launch later this fall and are now also available for public beta testers.

Apple brings continuity features to these systems. iOS 16 has a new lock screen, iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura bring new multitasking capabilities, watchOS 9 revamps Watch Faces, and tvOS 16 has been almost forgotten by Apple.
