Meat Wave has shared a new track, 10k.
This is the second preview of the Chicago punk trio’s debut album in over five years, “Malign Hex,” which is set to arrive October 14 via Big Scary Monsters.
Following on from what you’d like me to do previously shared, it deals with driving guitar parts and a punchy rhythm section. Chris Sutter of the band commented:
“10,000 is to be alive for 10,000 days, which is around your 28th birthday. That’s a long time, but is it? know so much about life and navigate it, but right? No, not really. The title of the disc relates directly to the 10k.
“A malignant spell belongs to your lineage. It is something that is only relevant to you, passed down to you or aroused within you. In this way, and regarding the case as a whole, I would like to think of it as a human, universal feeling.”
Meat Wave has tour dates scheduled throughout the fall, including headline shows alongside gigs supporting Metz, The Bronx and Drug Church.
