New Yahoo features: Yahoo Mail app for iOS, Android smartphones benefit from new features: details here

Yahoo announced on Wednesday that it is rolling out a feature update to its Mail app. The update is available for Android and iOS operating systems. New features include group by sender, receipt view, and one-click unsubscribe. Yahoo says these features will help users declutter the inbox, save time and improve productivity.

“Yahoo Mail has been a part of consumers’ lives for 25 years, so we know how important it is for people to quickly find what they need, whether it’s flight departure time next day or the amount spent on a weekend getaway with friends,” said Josh Jacobson, GM and SVP Yahoo Communications.

The update includes the following features:

Updated inbox top navigation: It allows users to use pop-up filters to switch between “Inbox”, “Attachments”, “Forward”, etc. It also includes a “Travel” filter allowing users to manage their travel itineraries via email, where they can track all their travel bookings.

Group by sender: It will allow users to “group” emails by domain name to quickly find important messages, offers, or delete all messages from a sender at once.

View receipts: With this feature, users can see receipts for all orders at once, to make returns faster and track spending habits.

One-click unsubscribe: Users can unsubscribe from one or more brand promotional emails and newsletters in one place, with just one click.

Connect all your accounts: Users can access their Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, Microsoft or other account(s) in one place and enjoy additional features.

Subscription renewal reminders: Updated alerts at the top of the inbox will remind users that a free trial is about to expire or a paid subscription is about to renew.

Attachments : It displays all attachments in the user’s inbox with the ability to filter by files (pdf, word docs, jpeg) and photos. Users do not have to open all emails individually to find an attachment.
