The Samsung Email app allows users to manage multiple personal and work email accounts seamlessly. It is a dedicated app similar to Gmail in functionality but for Samsung devices.
Recently, however, many Samsung users report that the Email app does not show images on all emails (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) and the option to do is also missing.
This turns out to be an intentional change in a recent update to the Email app where Samsung removed the option to display images on individual emails.
Nice move by @SamsungUS @Samsung in compromising the security of their messaging app with the latest update. Removed the “Show images” option for individual emails. Now must be always on or always off. Let’s make it easy for hackers #cybersecurityfail
For some reason, Samsung’s email app got rid of the “Show images” option in individual emails, so your only option is to show all images or none. Suggestions for another messaging app?
To display images, users must enable a universal setting that will display images in every email by default, but some consider this a security risk.
This decision to remove the option to display images disappointed many users. There is a reason why other messaging apps have introduced this option because it helps users to avoid downloading unnecessary images.
Fortunately, Samsung Support has suggested a workaround that will help you display images in all emails you receive. So watch it below.
We hope Samsung listens to its users and rolls back this update. As always, we’ll update this space as we find more information, so stay tuned.
