The tracklist and cover art have been revealed for the upcoming John Entwistle compilation Oxhumed Rarities – Volume 1which will be released on CD on October 21.
The 13-track collection includes previously unreleased studio tracks, demos, remastered live performances, and other unreleased gems, mostly from late Who bassist’s solo career. The album includes a song titled “Bogey Man”, which features a guest appearance by the late Who drummer Keith Moonand a demo version of “Where Ya Going Now”, which John had planned for The Who.
Rarities Oxhumed – Volume One also includes several tracks that appeared on the final disc Entwistle released with his solo band, 2000’s Music for Van-Pires, as well as The John Entwistle GroupLive renditions of The Who’s 1978 song “Trick of the Light” and the 1986 song Roger Daltrey tap “Under a raging moon”.
An advanced track from the collection, “I’ll Try Again Today” — a song that was also featured on Music for Van-Pires — will debut on September 16.

Entwistle died in June 2002 of a heart attack at the age of 57.
