Twitter User Shares Video Of Man Urinating On Railway Track, Delhi Metro Responds

A heartbreaking video of a man urinating on Delhi’s metro tracks has gone viral on social media, shocking netizens. On October 29, user Sanjeev Babbar posted the video on Twitter. It showed the cameraman moving closer to the man, who was urinating as he stood outside the yellow line of the platform.

“Maybe this happened for the first time in the Delhi Metro. I just received a video on Whatsapp. Sharing with you,” Mr Babbar captioned the post.

The person recording the video could be heard saying, “Where are you peeing? Why are you urinating here? “. . The obviously drunk man replied, “Ho gaya, zyada ho gaya (I [drank] a bit too much)” to that.

Babbar tagged the Delhi Chief Minister Office (CMO) and the Delhi Metro Corporation (DMRC) in the tweet, officials asked him for the name of the station so they could dig deeper. In response, Babbar said it was “Malviya Nagar Metro Station”.

Additionally, the DMRC urged people to call their 24-hour safety hotline and thanked the Twitter user for reporting the event.

“Hello, thank you for your feedback. If such activity is noticed, passengers may contact the nearest DMRC officer or contact our 24×7 helpline #155370 or our security hotline #155655 for further immediate action can be taken,” the DMRC said.

The video has received over 800 views in the meantime. One person commented, “Very shameful, why didn’t anyone stop him or do anything right away?” in the comments area. Another user remarked, “Pathetic”.
